Provided that LeBron James stated, "I'm not promising a championship. I know how hard that is to deliver. We're not ready right now. No way," per his Sports Illustrated open letter last year announcing his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cavs did pretty darn well for themselves.
Although James was not able to deliver a title to Cleveland, he did guide the Cavaliers back to the NBA Finals. The King fought valiantly in the six-game series, but a slew of injuries that claimed Anderson Varejao, Kevin Love and eventually Kyrie Irving proved too much to overcome.
Irving has since said on a podcast with Shaquille O'Neal, "I felt like we would've definitely won an NBA championship if we had everyone healthy."
Well, coulda-shoulda-woulda, Kyrie...but you can still hang your hat on being part of the best Cavaliers team to date.
