Shreveport LA. The Shreveport/Bossier
Mavericks won two very close games over the defending two-time ABA
champion Jacksonville Giants to win the 2014 ABA Championship at Hirsch
Coliseum in Shreveport, LA. Played before a large and very supportive
home crowd, game one of the best of three series went into overtime;
game two came down to the final possession in a three point game. And a

“Both the Giants and the Mavericks were two-time ABA Champions,”
stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Mavericks Coach Steve Tucker and Giants
Coach Kevin Waters had their sights set on being the first three time
winner and had their teams well prepared for a classic battle, It was
all that and more. If anyone ever questioned the excitement of the ABA
game with its unique rules – and the outstanding players and coaches in
our league, their questions were surely answered this week.
Congratulations to the Mavericks – well done.”(www.abafinals.com) or (www.espnwatch.com).
