ABA ADDS MIAMI STORM TO ITS EXPANSION TEAMS
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com
today announced that it has added the Miami Storm to its growing list
of expansion teams for the upcoming season. “Last season, we added a
team in South Florida, the South Florida, the South Florida GOLD, and in
their first season they made the Final Eight in the ABA Championship
Playoffs,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “And now, we’re adding the Miami
Storm just down the highway and we have found a great ownership team
looking to create a similar success there. I have no doubt that it will
be a great rivalry.”
The team will be owned by Maurice and Danicca Herring, both graduates
of the University of West Alabama and both with degrees in Business
Administration. Married for eleven years, both have an extensive
background in business and financial operations and a great love of
professional basketball. Maurice currently works in the private
business sector and Dannica in the educational field.“There is no doubt that the Miami Heat are the big news in basketball in Miami,” added Maurice. “But there is tremendous room for high caliber professional basketball at affordable prices with top regional players from Florida State, U of Miami, Jacksonville, Florida and other great schools. Dannica and I are very excited and pleased to be a part of the ABA.”
