ON -) Fans in the stands were chanting MVP as Morgan Lewis headed to
the line to score his 26th point of the evening. "It's just our
preparation. We've been paying attention to details on both ends of the
floor and it really showed tonight," Lewis explained after the much
needed Power win. "We're on the right track now and we'll be looking to
get two more (wins) this weekend."The Power played well at home, outscoring the Moncton Miracles in all four quarters of the game
.
The Power started off hot, taking the 59-54 lead into the half on 52%
shooting. At the half, Dwight McCombs powered the team with 15 points
and 5 rebounds. Johnny Mayhane had 13 points for Moncton.Both teams continued their hot shooting in the third quarter, with the Power increasing the lead to 89-80 going into the final quarter. It was much of the same in the fourth quarter, with the Power capping off a big run with a Morgan Lewis off the board slam dunk assisted by Mark Gomillia. The Power never stepped off the gas pedal as the team finished the game in convincing fashion, improving to 3-6 after the 126-113 win. Lewis finished with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the Power while Dwight McCombs contributed 21 points, 12 rebounds and a career high 4 assists. Johnny Mayhane led the Miracles with 27 points.
The Power head out East to face the Island Storm and the Saint John Mill Rats before returning home on December 4th to play against the Windsor Express followed by the London Lightning on December 5th .
